MYOBI is a TTP that operates a trust network and provides trust services on this network. On the trust network, companies manage their own company data and the personal data of employees and customers in an information ecosystem.
By accepting the TTP-policy, companies make agreements with partners who also use the trust network, on how to handle each other’s company and personal data. Partners can be customers, employees and/or suppliers. With the help of their information ecosystem, companies control their business and personal data. Individuals do that with a personal environment.
Control over data
Companies use an information ecosystem, and individuals use a personal environment. A company or individual determines who may have access to their data and further use it.
When giving access to and sharing data, partners want to rely on the confidentiality, reliability and availability of the data. Accountability for organizing compliance with legal and contractual obligations helps with this. In addition, it provides certainty about the effective functioning of data protection measures. Nevertheless, if data is incorrect or incomplete, the providing party will try to protect the company’s reputation by proactively correcting the data.
One language on the Trust Network
Controlling data requires the use of one vocabulary. The vocabulary relates to the customs on the network, i.e., the mores, and the meaning of data. Companies and individuals that use the trust network and the trust services subscribe to these mores in the TTP-policy. The summary of the mores is described in the TTP rules of the trust network.
Data definitions are required for sharing company and personal data in a single language. Therefore, MYOBI has set up a Standardization Board. The Standardization Board derives definitions from legislation and generally accepted data collections from, for example, authentic sources such as those of the Chambers of Commerce (KvK).
Recording contractual obligations
When granting controlled access to specific data collections, the company wants to make agreements with other companies or individuals about the use of the data. Based on the TTP-policy, MYOBI has asked the Contract Board to prepare and manage an additional contract portfolio for processor and data exchange agreements and agreements to protect business information and secrets.
Users of the trust network apply smart contracting to make these coordinating agreements. For contract types, the Contract Board provides a scenario with which the Business Process Coordinators and Contract Authorities can effectively organize the smart contracting process.
One method of accountability
The trust network gains added value for users if each user takes responsibility for organising compliance with legal and contractual obligations, including the agreements included in the TTP-policy.
Taking responsibility translates into an Accountability Seal accessible to society at large in the Accountability Seal Register and has been assessed by MYOBI with a plausibility test.

What does the Trust Network offer?
The trust network offers companies more certainty about:
- The confidentiality and reliability of sharing own data with partners
- The confidentiality and reliability of partners’ business and personal data
- The availability of company and personal data.
This increased certainty makes it possible to effectively organise business activities with integrated business processes that include appropriate management and security measures and accountability.
