The Accountability Seal Policy is part of MYOBI’s TTP policy that regulates accountability for compliance with this policy. Based on an Accountability Seal, a company’s management is accountable to society and the other users of the Trust Network in particular. Therefore, it is necessary to organise compliance for the Accountability Seal.
It is efficient to include compliance with the TTP policy that covers the legal accountability obligation to protect data in the current accountability cycle. During the year, MYOBI informs its business users about current events and accountability obligations for data protection, prepares targeted training programs and facilitates meetings. Depending on the timelines of the usual financial, tax, statistical and banking accountability obligations, MYOBI agrees with companies to comply with the legal accountability obligation for data protection. By aligning the timelines for the accounts, synergy is created in compliance activities, and efforts and costs can be reduced. In addition, efficiency increases with an integrated compliance approach to all these obligations.
To at the end of a year account about last year, sufficient compliance activities must be carried out during the year. Based on a calendar year as the accounting period, the following is prepared in the first quarter of the new year for the previous year:
- Self-declaration of the management.
- Confirmation of the self-declaration by the Data Protection Officer (DPO).
- Performing the plausibility test on the self-declaration by MYOBI.
The self-declaration consists of a management statement about the achieved maturity level and the upcoming year’s ambition.
Compliance
The management needs an assessment framework in line with the TTP Code of Conduct AVG to make a statement about the maturity level. MYOBI makes the assessment framework available in the company’s information ecosystem. In addition, the Accountability Seal Policy is part of MYOBI’s TTP policy. Based on this policy, a company’s management is accountable to society and the other users of the Trust Network.
Supporting activities
During the year, MYOBI informs its business users about current events and accountability obligations for data protection and information security, prepares targeted training programs and facilitates meetings. MYOBI annually creates a compliance schedule. In addition, MYOBI maps current developments in organising accountability obligations and writes articles and blogs about them. Users of the Trust Network are also invited to participate in webinars.
