The Trust Network and Trust Services provide an attractive and robust foundation for developing and managing professional applications. Users of the network determine whether they want to use the applications with the help of their information ecosystem. As a result, the users control their company and personal data and manage the implementation of applications.
The applications on the Trust Network are building blocks for business solutions and thus organise business activities more effectively. The following applications are available:
- The company-specific learning environment: MYOBI and Duthler Academy supplies companies with a company-specific learning environment. In these learning environments, Duthler Academy offers various awareness and training programs to organise knowledge and change management.
- Smart contracting: Duthler Associates and First Lawyers offer business users smart contracting that helps them effectively organise the corporate legal function. Naturally, Duthler Associates and First Lawyers provide corporate legal function awareness and training programs.
- Corporate legal function: The purpose of consciously organising the corporate legal function is to make adequate agreements with customers, employees and suppliers about mutual rights and obligations. By adequate, we mean that the contracts aim to achieve the objectives of the business activities for which the agreements are made. With adequate contracts, legal disputes and costs are prevented. They offer real added value for business operations.
More professional organisations are expected to develop and offer applications on the Trust Network. For example, we anticipate partners for due diligence and smart compliance.
All applications make use of the data from an information ecosystem. These data are characterised by semantic interoperability and demonstrable quality (confidentiality, reliability and availability). By semantic interoperability, we mean that a piece of data is unambiguously defined. The data collection is recognised in the same way by all information ecosystems and processed by applications. Confidentiality is guaranteed because the user must give permission to access or share its data. Semantic interoperability is also a determining factor for fulfilling the (legal) accountability obligation for complying with legal and contractual obligations, including the completeness and correctness (the reliability) of one’s own personal and company data. This also applies to the availability of the data. MYOBI facilitates the network users by periodically paying attention to the reliability level of the data and by taking measures for the availability of the data.
Providers of applications to the information ecosystem must meet several requirements. MYOBI assesses whether a (potential) application meets the technical, organisational and legal (security) requirements. In addition, a (possible) application, in conjunction with other applications, must lead to commercial added value for a user of the network. MYOBI needs to be convinced of the business relevance with the help of an attractive business case.
In this part of the business knowledge base, the professional providers of applications describe the application’s purpose and clarify what the added value is for a company.
